All Error Codes
A / T prefix. A code that starts with A is an Active fault — the problem is happening right now and the furnace has stopped or locked out. A code that starts with T is a Transient fault — an event the control board recorded that may still be intermittent. The same fault number often appears both ways (for example T013 and A013): the T version is usually the earlier stage and the A version is the persistent fault that shut the furnace down. A T code is not automatically minor — always check the Severity column, since some transient faults are still High and need a professional.
Asterisk (*). A code marked with an asterisk applies only to two-stage models. If your furnace is single-stage, you can ignore the asterisked codes.
How to Read the Error Code
The Integrated Furnace Control (IFC) uses Bluetooth communicating fault codes displayed via the contractor app. Codes use alphanumeric format with A (Active fault) or T (Transient fault) prefix followed by a 3-digit number and _F suffix. Active faults indicate a currently present condition; transient faults indicate an intermittent condition. Codes marked with * are two-stage only faults. All lockout conditions can be cleared by cycling power off and then back on. The furnace control will not initiate a heat cycle during any lockout condition.
